Requirements

Musandam Diving Trip Itinerary

All divers are requested to arrive at our Xplore Musandam Tours office by 08:30 AM.

If you’re traveling from Dubai, please plan to leave early — the drive to Khasab, Musandam takes approximately 3.5 hours, including border processing.

Equipment Check

Your safety and comfort come first. Upon arrival, we’ll begin with equipment testing and fitting to ensure every diver is fully comfortable and confident with their gear before departure.

Departure to Dive Site

Once all checks are complete, we’ll board our speedboat and head toward the diving sites.
Our destination depends on sea and weather conditions, but we usually explore the Kumzar or Khor Najd areas — both renowned for their stunning underwater biodiversity and crystal-clear waters.

First Dive

After a scenic 45-minute boat ride, we’ll arrive at our first dive location.
Here, you’ll enjoy a 45-minute dive exploring the mesmerizing coral reefs, colorful marine life, and unique underwater landscapes of Musandam.

Relax & Refresh

Between dives, we’ll take a 45-minute break to relax and recharge.
Light refreshments including soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water will be served as you share stories and prepare for the next dive.Snorkeling gear, life jackets, and towels are provided onboard for your comfort.

Second Dive

Around 12:15 PM, we’ll begin our second dive — another 45 to 60-minute underwater adventure where you’ll explore pristine marine habitats and witness Musandam’s fascinating sea life up close.

Return to Khasab

After completing the dives, we’ll depart for Khasab around 01:15 PM, arriving back at approximately 02:00 PM.
For those who wish to extend the fun, you can combine this diving trip with our overnight dhow cruise for a truly unforgettable Musandam experience.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

Diver Certification:

All participants must hold a valid diving license to join our Musandam diving trips.

Diving Training:

If you require diving training or certification, please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Booking Confirmation:

All diving trips must be booked and paid for in advance. Reservations will only be confirmed once full payment has been received.

Rescheduling Policy:

You may reschedule your trip free of charge if you notify us at least 72 hours before departure.

Cancellations Made 72 Hours or More Before Departure:

No cancellation fee will apply. You will receive a 100% refund, excluding any banking or transaction charges.

Cancellations Made Between 72 and 48 Hours Before Departure:

A 50% cancellation fee will be charged, along with applicable banking fees.

Cancellations Made Within 48 Hours of Departure:

No refund will be issued, and 100% of the tour fee will be charged.

No-Show Policy:

Failure to appear for the trip, regardless of the reason, will result in no refund or rescheduling option.

Weather and Government Restrictions:

Xplore Musandam Tours reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the trip due to unfavorable weather conditions or government directives. In such cases, customers will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

Oman Visit Visa Requirements (For Travelers from the UAE)

All travelers coming from the UAE must have a valid Oman visit visa, which can be applied online via obtained on arrival at the border.
If you plan to get your visa on arrival, please review and comply with the following important requirements:

Vaccination Requirement:

All participants above 18 years old must present a printed vaccination certificate.

PCR Test Requirement:

Participants aged 12 years and above must show a negative PCR test (printed copy) taken within 72 hours before arrival at the Oman border.

Passport Validity:

Each traveler must carry an original passport that is valid for at least 90 days from the date of travel.

Visa and Exit Fees:

UAE Exit Fee: 35 AED per person / Oman Visit Visa Fee (on arrival): 5 OMR per person

UAE Residency Requirements:

UAE residents must ensure both their passport and residency visa are valid for more than 90 days from the travel date.

Eligibility:

Not all UAE residents or professions are eligible for a visa on arrival. Please contact us in advance to verify your eligibility before traveling.

UAE Single Entry Visa Holders:

Travelers with a single-entry UAE visa are not permitted to exit, as their visa will be canceled upon leaving the UAE.

Vehicle Requirements:

Car Ownership: You must carry the vehicle registration card (Mulkiya) to cross the border.
Car Insurance: If your car insurance does not cover Oman, you can purchase border insurance (approximately 100 AED).
Rented Cars: If driving a rented vehicle, you must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the car rental company to cross the border.
